Privacy Policy

SVDT.club ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page describes what this website does with the information you provide, whether you're using the Challenge Brain tool or making a donation.

Information we collect

Challenge Brain tool: the text you type (your challenge, outcome, failure, and opinion inputs) is sent to a third-party AI provider (Google's Gemini API) to check that it's meaningful and to generate responses. It's held only for the duration of your session and isn't stored permanently by us.

Donations: when you donate, you're redirected to a payment page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see, receive, or store your card number, CVC, or other full payment credentials — that information goes directly to Stripe, not to us. What we receive back from Stripe is limited to the donation amount, a Stripe-generated session reference, and the payment status (succeeded, failed, etc.). Stripe's checkout page also collects your email address directly, so it can send you a payment receipt.

Website usage (only if you accept): if you agree in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Google collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your browser and device type, and how you arrived. It does not include the text you type into the Challenge Brain tool or any payment details. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How we use this information

• To process your donation and send a receipt (handled by Stripe)
• To confirm that a donation completed, for our own operational records
• To generate AI-assisted brainstorming results when you use the Challenge Brain tool
• If you accept analytics cookies: to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it (Google Analytics)

We don't sell your data and don't use it to advertise to you. We share it with third parties only as needed to process a donation (Stripe), generate a session's results (our AI provider), or — only if you accept analytics cookies — measure site usage (Google Analytics).

What we store

This application doesn't maintain a donor database. Beyond a brief operational log entry (donation amount and Stripe session reference — never card data), we don't keep a persistent copy of your donation on our own systems; the record of it lives in Stripe's systems, which we can access through the Stripe Dashboard for accounting and receipting. Stripe retains transaction data as required for its own compliance and regulatory obligations — see Stripe's privacy policy.

Payment security

Card data is processed entirely by Stripe, a payment processor certified at PCI Service Provider Level 1 — the highest level of certification in the payments industry. Because you enter payment details directly on Stripe's own hosted page, that information never passes through or touches SVDT.club's servers.

Cookies

Our one strictly necessary cookie is named session, and it's used only on the Challenge Brain tool. It keeps track of your place in the brainstorming flow and holds only a random, anonymous identifier — not your name, email, or anything you type. It's not readable by scripts on the page, and it expires when you close your browser.

Analytics cookies are optional and off by default. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to allow Google Analytics. Nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set unless you click Accept. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to recognize returning visitors and measure how the site is used, on every page including the donation page.

To remember your choice, we store a single setting (analytics-consent) in your browser's local storage — it stays on your device and isn't sent to us. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link here or in the footer of any page; declining removes the analytics cookies. You can also block them in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Unless you accept analytics, our own pages load no third-party scripts or trackers, and fonts are always served from our own server rather than a third party. Once you're redirected to Stripe's checkout page, Stripe may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

If you'd like a copy of the information we hold about you, want it deleted, or have any other question about how your data is handled — including donation records held on our behalf by Stripe — contact us and we'll help.
